Welcome folks today in this blog post we will be using the SimpleXLSXGen
library in php to export to the html5 table
to excel file and download it inside browser. All the full source code of the application is shown below.
Get Started
In order to get started you need to start the xammp control panel
and then start the apache
server and mysql
database as shown below
And now we will be creating the database
and the table users
as shown below
As you can see we have four
columns inside the users
table which include the id
which is the primary
key and it contains the Name
, Age and Country of the user. Now we can insert some sample
data as shown below

And now we need to create the dbConfig.php
file and copy paste the following code

As you can see we are first of all connecting
to the mysql
database and here we are providing the hostname
and then we are providing the username, password and database
.
Adding the SimpleXLSXGen Library
Now we need to create the SimpleXLSXGen.php
file and copy paste the library
code of php as shown below

As you can see we are importing the dbConfig.php
file for database connection and also we are importing the SimpleXLSXGen.php
